So it's a new year and i haven't made a journal in months!

I'd also like to take this time to thank all my patrons for all the support you've given me! I know i say didcomics.com is "my" site, but really, if it weren't for your support, it wouldn't be a site at all. So thank you for the support.

Also, thank you for anyone who just enjoys my work and comments on it. I have a love/hate feeling on commenting. On the one hand, i'm always at a loss of how to handle comments i get from others, so i often end up saying nothing (especially on older posts). But on the other, i genuinely appreciate the feedback (provided it's at least constructive... although you guys are great and i don't get a lot of needlessly negative feedback generally).

I spent this weekend refactoring the landing page. I also refactored V's chapters specifically into subchapters. They're all still there. But you have to go through a couple clicks to get to them.

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the birthday wishes. I could've done that each individually, but i thought (lazily) it might be easier to just have one journal entry for all of it.

I also wanted to use this opportunity to thank everyone for 284k pageviews. More than a quarter of a million pageviews. Which makes me seriously think "if i had a quarter for every pageview..."

Also, also, i wanted to use this time to provide a bit of update to what's going on.

As you've probably noticed, i've somewhat slowed down as of late in posting new things. There's a number of reasons as to why:

1) I'm working on a lot of different (and diverse) things at the moment

2) My personal life has gotten busy lately too (work, mostly)

3) i just don't feel motivated anymore

All things considered, it's probably the last point more than the former 2. But i do still plan on posting stuff. It's just, it might be a lot slower than usual. And hopefully, in time, motivation will return. Or i burn out entirely. Whichever, ya know?

Also, i know someone tagged me in some journal post to know more about my OCs. I already have a characters page on my website: didcomics.com/cast_page/

But i wanted to know if there's broader interest in some "character metadata"? If so, maybe i can do something for that (ie, something that gives character info that doesn't readily come up in stories, as it were). (i think i asked before but the interest wasn't high enough to justify the work)

Anyway...

I don't feel like i have much to say, really. I've been feeling rather empty lately. Which isn't helping my creativity block.

I guess i'll just leave this as a short "Happy New Year" journal and ask a few questions.

Thanks for 263k pageviews! And thanks for all the birthday wishes. I'm not sure if i'm going to respond to each of them individually or not yet.
